Jeremiah A. Quane
Jeremiah A. Quane is a founding partner in Quane Jones McColl, PLLC. He is engaged in the active full-time practice of law in his specialties of defending a variety of tort cases that cover multiple types of litigated claims and trials. He has conducted jury trials in over 170 cases throughout the State of Idaho, Oregon, Washington and Montana, and he has tried more civil cases than any other current active practicing attorney in the State of Idaho. His representation of insurance companies, their insureds and self-insured entities are the exclusive and only type of his practice and they have and do involve cases in the areas of product liability, motor vehicle , premises liability, landlord tenant, medical malpractice, legal malpractice, accountant malpractice, podiatry and veterinary malpractice, health care providers, drug manufacturers, employment, life and health insurers, first priority claims, school districts, governmental entities, irrigation districts, insurance agents, hospitals, and virtually every type of risk that is underwritten by insurance companies or assumed by self-insured companies.
He has tried and won more medical malpractice defense cases than any other attorney in the State of Idaho.
Other cases of note include a case that involved the death of 91 miners in a mine fire in which he represented the manufacturer and supplier of mine equipment and products that allegedly caused the fire and death of the 91 miners.
Before obtaining his law degree, he played professional baseball for several years. He is a long time member of the Federation of Insurance and Corporate Counsel and the holder of an AV® rating by Martindale Hubbell for excellence, competence, integrity and skill. Mr. Quane frequently speaks to physicians, medical clinics and medical groups on malpractice issues, loss prevention, practice guidelines and patient relationships at the request of and for insurance companies and their insureds and he has an active practice representing physicians before the Idaho State Board of Medicine in disciplining matters. He has accumulated numerous legal memoranda, technical publications, identity of expert witnesses, and other material that allows him to handle cases without the need of original research and investigation that is a financial benefit to his clients. This eliminates the need to undertake repeated work for his clients in many instances.
Before creating the firm of Quane Jones McColl, he was the founder and lead attorney in his firm and Quane Jones McColl is the continuation of his prior firm to the extent that it includes Mr. Jones and Mr. McColl. Mr. Quane is always available to provide advice to and answer questions of clients without charge and this is a frequent service he enjoys and undertakes.
